Mary James Zaun was 76 years young when the good Lord took her Monday, March 11, 2024. She was born on April 7th, 1947, to her loving parents Howard and Elsie Sowden in Fergus Falls Minnesota. She graduated from Fergus Falls High School in 1965 and then went onto graduating with a degree in Physical Therapy from the U of M in 1970. She started her career at Abbott Northwestern Hospital and later served as an in-home therapist. Mary loved deeply and abundantly all things. She loved to cook, travel, laugh, dance, sing but especially her beloved family, friends, community and serving the Lord with her whole being.
Mary is preceded in death by Howard and Elsie Sowden(parents), Beth Miller and Elaine Franks(sisters).
Mary is survived by Richard E. Zaun (husband), Jeb and Rachel Zaun (son and daughter in-law), Katherine Zaun (daughter), Hades and Marcus Nyasani (grandchildren), Oliver Zaun (grandson), Ruth Crenshaw and Hazel (Honey) Anderson (sisters), and many nieces, nephews, and friends near and far
A visitation will be held from 6-8pm on Friday, March 15 at Roseville Memorial Chapel. A funeral service will be held the next day at 10am on Saturday, March 16 at Josiah Center in Maplewood.
